Some of Brandons Favorite Places to Be

Of course you buy all these toys that they play with and hope you can keep them contained..... and as every parent knows they all love playing with things they aren't supposed to and love playing in places that aren't ideal! Currently Brandon loves crawling to the kitchen and opening every door, banging on the dishwasher, crawls super fast when the fridge opens, pushing the trash can around, etc! His other favorite place to be is the stairs and in the bathroom where he loves the toliet paper and insists that everytime it needs to be unrolled and spread everywhere! Needless to say- he is a very busy boy, we turn around for one second and he is gone! Definately keeps mommy and daddy on their toes but we love it!

Grammies Surprise 85th Birthday Party:)

Brandon had a great time at Grammies Surprise Party- we took some family pictures that day as well:) Brandon is so lucky to have such a great family to be a part of!

Weekend with Grandpa and Nana

Daddy was away at a bachelor party so mommy and I went out to Front Royal and spent Saturday night with Grandpa and Nana! We had lots of fun:) I got to play with Rugger, go for a walk, watch the Hummingbirds and just relax! We also took advantage of the view from Grandpa and Nana's deck and took some pictures of me in my overalls!

9 months old!

Brandon had his 9 month check and the doctor says he is doing fantastic! He is 20lbs 8oz & 28.5 inches long- he is in the 50%:) He also had his little toe pricked to check his iron level- which didn't even phase him.... he was however very interested in getting the band aid off his toe. It actually ended up in his mouth on the way home- crazy boy.

As far as his milestones are concerned he is doing great! He can stand by himself for about 1 second, he walks if you hold his hands or behind a toy, he says mama and dadda. His top teeth are starting to come in- so that's a little painful! As far as food is concerned he is more interested in what we are eating than his own baby food- which I don't blame him.

4th of July

Happy Birthday America! Brandon sure had a fun filled 4th of July weekend- lots of firsts for this this little guy. First time for tasting hotdogs and watermelon and skinny dipping in the lake! (uh oh!!) Liam Henderson enjoyed pushing Brandon around in the walker- they had some real bonding time. Brandon didn't really have any good naps at the lake- but was in good spirits when we attempted one in the pack in play with his sweet mohawk! We had such a great weekend and spent lots of time with family:) Brandon is also really facinated with his cousin Jillian- we attempted a family picture at the lake and all he wanted to do was touch her sweet little face! Enjoy the pictures- he sure likes posing for the camera!

8 Months Old

Brandon is now 8 months old and it still just feels like yesterday that we were blessed with this beautiful baby boy..... and now he seems to be changing into a little toddler before our eyes. Brandon has been crawling for a few weeks now but has now changed into a different gear.... FAST! He can pull up on everything, loves biting everything to include Grandmas favorite coffee table, he waves goodbye and laughs at the same time, he says mum-ma, dada dada pretty good, he stands very well by himself and can move around the table walking with assistance.... we figure he will be walking around 9-10 months.... definately an over-achiever but nothing less is expected of this little boy;) We are thankful for his swim lessons and his love for water because he definately loves being in the water and we love that- he splashs A LOT and likes to kick his chubby little legs.....

I don't know his exact measurements but he is around 20-21lbs.... pretty average for his age:)

First Beach Trip- OBX

Brandon had his very first trip to the beach- Outer Banks in Nags Head North Carolina:) We spent an entire week there and it was very relaxing and full of fun! Our friends the Mayes Family and Peters Family shared the same house. Our week consisted of heading out to the beach at some point in the mid-morning where we only stayed for about 3 hours. Brandon and his friend Trent mainly napped down at the beach so mommy and daddy could have some "cold beverages." The water was pretty chilly the first couple days but it warmed up towards the end. The afternoon was spent by the pool- Brandon enjoyed splashing around in his little float. A new thing has emerged as well- Brandon now has a slight head butt and did this multiple times to his friend Trent (we say thanks daddy for teaching him this)- we currently say it's just a sign of love:) The beach was full of great weather, food,memories and most of all awesome company:) We are definately looking forward to next years trip!
