Lake Anna (June 8th)
Lake season is back and we are even more excited this year since the house is under construction. Almost every time we leave the lake one of us always says "We wish you could just walk up to the house and spend the night!" A few more months and our wish will become our reality! Ahhh can't wait!! We enjoyed sunshine and time with the kids. Brandon loves the water and it was Tucker's very first time in the lake and he loved it too!!

The repeater!
Josh and I look at each other sometimes and say "He got that from you!" This usually follows something crazy that Brandon does such as Yell really loud, Jump around from furniture to furniture, whine or anything else you can imagine a 2 year old does! He is a ball of energy and at times I must say it's hard to keep up. The biggest change lately is that Brandon has become even more of a sponge than before. He repeats EVERYTHING you say, so we have all tried to watch what we say around him! I will say that when he cusses sometimes it takes everything out of us not to laugh (there is just something about a 2 year old cussing that's funny.... inappropriate but funny none the less).
So obviously his vocabulary has increased since he is repeats everything we say. We are still battling the potty training since for some reason at day care he doesn't have the desire. However at home and at Grandma's he will won't have any potty accidents (still working on #2).
Brandon also now wants to sleep on the futon in his room because he sees it as a "big boy bed". We will probably invest in bunk beds for him at some point.
He has almost mastered riding his bike- still needs help steering at times but can pedal pretty good:) And he still LOVES being outside. Now that it's nice out we have been heading to the lake and hope to hit the pool up soon as well:)
Below are some pictures that Jamie Hinkle took of Brandon- and yes he is sweating because it was almost impossible for him to stay still long enough for a picture! Go figure:) She did end up getting some priceless photos.

Tucker Boy is 6 months old!
Seriously?!? 6 months old already.... time really goes by too quick! His nicknames now include Tuck, Tucker Boy or Chubby. He rolls over really good now and is really good at standing on our lap (of course with assistance) He has pulled his legs under him a few times and getting close to the crawling position. I've come to the conclusion that he just prefers to either lay on his belly or sit in his recliner chair and just watch Brandon run around the room like a maniac. He is just so content watching his big brother, it's adorable. We have started Tucker on baby food and so far he likes everything. He gets sooooo excited every time he sees food- he might be a better eater than his brother but we shall see. Tucker is also a fantastic sleeper- he goes to bed at 8:00-8:30 and gets up around 7:30-8:00. This morning he didn't wake up until 8:30- he loves his sleep like his momma:)
Even though I'm not looking forward to Tucker getting bigger quick (mainly because I LOVE this age- he has a little personality but doesn't move yet) but I'm really looking forward to when he can walk around with Brandon. Brandon loves his little brother and you can really see it. He loves to hold him, roll him (usually when I'm not looking), kiss him, burp him, he tells him he loves him and always tells mommy when tucker either spits up, poops or is crying. So on one hand I can't wait to see him walk around and play with Brandon and on the other hand I want to freeze time!
I was able to capture a few pictures today after our run, don't mind Brandon's hair because I didn't want to have a fight to comb it before pictures!

Tucker is 5 months and Brandon is 30 months
Update on the boys:
Tucker is now 5 months old and changing so quickly! He is getting bigger every day and really starting to get his little personality. He is a very easy going baby. He can roll over both ways but isn't that motivated to do it all the time. He loves standing with assistance obviously:) Tucker has also become very interested in what Brandon does and follows him around the room. He has also become a good sleeper and now sleeps from about 8:30PM to 6:00AM.
Brandon is now 30 months old which is so hard to believe. He loves telling us what Tucker is doing all the time. Some phrases include "Tuck stinks" "Tuck is crying" "Put Tucker down" "Where is Tuck?" He also wants to hold him, help feed him, help change him, etc! Most recently he was supposed to go with Josh to flag football. Josh got him in the carseat and Brandon started whining and wanting Tucker to come with him. When Josh told him that he was staying with mommy he got upset and wanted to stay home! It was just adorable. Brandon also loves the movie Cars, which we have temporarily moved away from Toy Story. He can also ride his bike by himself too- he just needs a little help steering down hills.

Mommy turns 30!
So happy birthday to me! I truly can't believe I'm 30.... and I must say that the 20's was everything I hoped it would be so I can only imagine what the 30's will bring. The past 10 years I graduated from Virginia Tech, I married my best friend Josh, and now have two handsome boys! I always wanted to be married and have two kids by the time I turned 30- I'm so lucky to have it all come true.
My day was spent at home with the boys:) When daddy came home we went to Chili's for some drinks and then back to the house to hang out. We had a wonderful time. I'm so lucky to have such great family and friends:)
Thanks to my brother and his wife for my awesome card that sang "My next 30 years" by Tim McGraw...... cheers to the next 30!

4 months old and a 2.5 year old!
It seems like this past month Brandon has been taking even MORE of a liking for his brother. Now that Tucker interacts with Brandon by smiling and laughing at him, Brandon loves it! I just hope this love continues as they get older. Tucker is getting stronger but is pretty stubborn with rolling over from his back to his belly. He will do it very rarely but he is sooooo close to rolling over all the time. He has been sleeping through the night (about 8 hours) but the time he wakes us varies. Now that Tucker is on soy formula and eating oatmeal at night seems to be doing a lot better:)
Brandon has been doing a good job with potty training and can pretty much "pee" on the potty with minimal accidents. We only keep big boy underwear on at home because we haven't gotten brave enough to go into public with underwear. We are hoping we can do this soon!
Tucker also loves the jogging stroller like Brandon did.... which is awesome! Sometimes Brandon will want to run with us which we let him. He can actually run pretty far with those little legs.
Enjoy some pictures below:)
