Brotherly love

Brandon has taken lots of interest in his baby brother Tucker more than ever before. I think he is starting to realize that this little guy will be playing cars, running around the house and being his "partner in crime"before we know it! He certainly loves to hold Tucker and will actually say "i want to hold tuck, please, please, please" It's so cute:)

A little update on Brandon- he has really started stringing more sentences together and it's incredible that you can have a conversation with him now. It seems like over night that happened. He can also count to 15, we are now working on the ABC's. I must say a lot of the apps on the I-Pad help him a lot with counting and spelling. I think he works the i-pad better than Josh and myself. He actually will play Tiger Woods golf and I'm sure he will be better than his daddy soon.

Tucker is going to be 3 months old tomorrow, it's so hard to believe that he will sleeping in his crib soon:( He has started "talking" and smiling a lot and I love this stage where they start recognizing you and your voice. So precious.

The pictures below were taken Feb. 18, so I'll update some pictures of Tucker tomorrow:) Now that I'm back to work, it's quite hard keeping up with the blog- but I'm doing my best!

Staying in your room

We have recently had some issues with Brandon staying in his bed. He likes to get up about 2 or 3 AM and come down in our room. He sometimes will fall asleep but their are times that he wants to "watch" (watch tv), wants his i-pad or wants a drink. It wears thin on mommy and daddys patience so we have been trying the locked in his room tactic and for the past couple nights its gone well.

Feb. 4th night- Brandon in our room at 2AM, woke up at 4AM ready to go! That next day was mommys first day back to work from maternity leave, AND she started off sleep deprived- awesome. Something has to change!

Feb. 5th night- Brandon came down multiple times as we were trying to go sleep (around 10PM) he finally fell asleep in his bed. Locked his bedroom door and he woke up at 2AM to try and get it out..... then started the 30 min scream fest, which ultimately ended in Brandon going back to his bed to sleep!!

Feb. 6th night- Brandon came down at 3:30AM- Daddy took him up and he stayed in his bed the rest of the night. We didn't have to lock the door.

Feb. 7th night- Brandon slept all night in his bed!

Feb. 8th night- Brandon came down at 2:30AM- Daddy locked him in his room- he cried but ended up going to bed for the rest of the night

I must say this seems like it might continue for some time, but sleeping in our bed is not an option. We are working on it and I think we are making progress- at least i hope!

Tucker is 2 months old!

Tucker is now 2 months old which means a couple things.... mommy has to return to work and he is now ready for 2 month shots:( Such a sad time.....  Tucker has rolled over a couple times belly to back, but it's only when he gets really upset and his body gets super stiff. I must say the best part about this age is when they grab you with their eye contact and give you a super big grin! It just melts your heart.... and now Tucker is doing this more and more as you talk to him. He has also really started to talk as well.

He is getting big (not as big as his brother was) at his check he weighed 11lbs 5oz & 22 inches long. He has also slept through the night (11-5/6) a handful of times- which is always a nice treat!

Brandon has certainly taken on more of an interest of what Tucker is doing.... very concerned if he starts crying, wants to give him is pacifier, burp him, etc.

8 weeks old and strong!

Tucker is now 8 weeks old and is one strong little guy! He can hold up his head and doesn't mind too much being on his belly. I actually think he will be like his big brother and will want to sleep on his belly when he can. He is a growing boy as well.... I was holding onto the newborn clothes probably a week or so longer than I should have. His poor little toes were crunched in there. But last night I took out all the newborn clothes and replaced them mainly with Brandon's 3 month clothing. (so glad I saved it all)
Tucker is also eating about 5 oz every 4 hours. Sometimes I can get him to go 5 or even 6 hours. We are working on getting him to sleep through the night... we have been successful 3-4 times... and that's if you count 11:30-5:30 as a full nights sleep. Most nights he is up at 3:30 to eat but hopefully that will change soon. He is still in our room, as it's so hard for me to put him up in his room (on a different level) just yet! I'll probably wait until he is 3 months old, like I did with Brandon.

Less than a week and I'll be back at work:( So I'm currently enjoying EVERY minute with them!

Catching Brandon's Moments on my iphone

With having a newborn in the house- it is almost impossible to get some photos on my nice camera of Brandon. So below I've tried to capture him on my iphone when I can- haha!

He is really starting to talk more - stringing sentences together and having a conversation with us. We broke down the side of his crib and he loves his new bed. We have worked on colors, alphabet, numbers. animals, matching & puzzles. He can count to 10 with our help- he seems to surpass #3 most of the time. Sometimes it's funny but I'm like are you serious?!?! say THREE!!

On our way to Grandma's to watch Sunday Football

Hanging with Uncle Jarred

Sitting in Tucker's Rock and Play....

Bounce- Bounce- Bounce

Distracted behind the wheel

Most recently will bring out all his movies in Tucker's bed to me and tell me "I wanna watch this"

New Bed:)

Such a handsome boy

I can hold up my head

Tucker is 6.5 weeks old and can hold up his head on his own:) Such a strong little guy. He is also started to smile as well! He smiles a lot in his sleep and now when you talk to him he will smile at you.... so precious!

Tucker 1 month old!

Yes I'm a little late in posting this.... frankly because it's harder to find time to do all this creative stuff with two! I'll get better.... I hope- lol:)

I can't believe that Tucker is 1 month old already... he certainly fits right in to our family. He has been such a great baby- feeding every 4 hours sometimes at night I can hold him to 5. Right now his life is quite simple... eating, pooping & sleeping.

Brandon loves his little brother "Tuck" which seems to be sticking at this point. We keep correcting him to say Tuck-ER but it's not working.... guess he will call him what he wants:)
