16 Months Old

With our 16 month old seeming to turn into a 2 year old by the second, it sure is getting harder to get pictures of our little man. Especially since he seems to be happiest doing the things he is not supposed to do, like standing on the chairs and getting out of his highchair. Brandon is also starting to add some more words to his vocabulary (However you do need to know what he is supposed to say to catch it- but we think it counts anyways!)... such as "thank you" , "papa", "grandma", "night night.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone- we sure love our little valentine!

"look mommy, can't you see I'm on the phone"

Standing on his stool (like he's not supposed to)

He knows he isn't supposed to be there

Trying to tell me why he can stand on the chairs

Love his smile!

SuperBowl

Even though the outcome of the superbowl wasn't what we hoped- we still had a great time (well besides the few times Brandon was in timeout) We are starting to see some "terrible twos" emerge and it normally happens when he doesn't get what he wants. (go figure!) Brandon seems to push the boundaries to see what he can get away with so we certainly letting him know who's boss. Timeouts are going to become a more regular thing I believe- hope he learns fast!

Opening Doors!

Got the vacuum

I got this

At the end of his timeout- such a sad little face :(

Uh oh- Jillian and Brandon trying to both break out now!

Our little man sure does like helping mommy vacuum.... even though only a square foot of carpet is vacuumed he sure is proud of himself. We love our little helper. He is also opening EVERY door now so we have to make sure we are locking the doors when necessary or you will get a surprise visitor. Our house is equipped with easiest door handles for him to open.... great!

15 months old!

Brandon turned 15 months old a couple weeks ago- and we have been so busy with weddings that the blog has been somewhat forgotten! OPS!! Here is a quick catchup from the last couple weeks. Brandon traveled with us to Dallas for Kim and Joels wedding and he also got to meet my moms sister Debbie and her husband Tim! It was so nice to be able to see them- just wish we could of hung out longer. Brandon was dressed up in a tux and was the most handsome 15 month old there! We really had a lot of fun and are so happy for Auntie Kim and Uncle Joel! This past weekend mommy and daddy went to Providence, RI for Luke and Chrissy's wedding- but Brandon got to stay behind with Nana. He had a fun weekend playing and hanging with Nana. We sure did miss him though!

Brandon went for his 15 month check today and also got two shots. The doctor told us that "Brandon looks great and she has nothing to worry about!" He is 24.2 lbs and 31.5 inches in height. He is currently in the 40% for both height and weight. His new thing is bringing you his i-Pad, book or toy and sitting on your lap to play or watch a movie. He can tell you what a dog says and we are working on all the other animals. He understands most of what you tell him to do, like "bring mommy a diaper" or "let's go take a bath" or "do you want a drink". We are trying to teach him to do a forward roll and to actually jump off the ground instead of just squatting. He also LOVES to brush his teeth!

Every day seems like a new adventure and it really is exciting!

2011 treated us well and we are looking forward to 2012! Brandon had his tuxedo shirt on and was ready to ring in the new year at Uncle Jason and Auntie Kendell's house. He had fun running around with Macie, Julia, Trent, Jake, Christopher, Jeffrey and Jonny!! Excited to see what 2012 has in store for us.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Brandon and Mommy
We had another successful Christmas this year surrounded by family and friends! Our house is being taken over by Brandon's new toys- but we don't mind. Santa was very good to him and so were all his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc! Brandon received a Little Tikes Tricycle, Slide, Lego Table, Red Sox Table, Train Table, Work Bench, Sit and Spin, Stool, Grill, lots of clothes to include a tux and so much more:) We are so thankful to have such a great family and the best gift was just hanging out with everyone!

Christmas Pictures/14 Months Old

So we decided to get Brandon's picture taken since we haven't gotten one done in a while.... well obviously we take lots of pictures but professional ones that come with lots of prints. Let's just say it was quite challenging to get him to sit still!! I'm surprised we got as many good pictures as we did. Brandon turned 14 months about a week ago and it's like he has turned into a little toddler overnight. He loves to turn around, try and jump, get toys/books and bring them to you, climb up and now down the stairs (except he likes to try and go up like a big boy) he points at things that he wants and then gets upset if he doesn't get what he wants. He now brings the kitchen chairs over to the fridge, climbs up and hits the water dispenser. It is crazy how fast children understand things, we really show Brandon once how to do something and he can pretty much do it the next time! We are very excited for Christmas to come in about 10 days! Brandon really loves the Christmas Tree and all the lights. He makes sure we go turn it on every morning once he gets up. He has been pretty good with the ornaments- but there is no chance of any present staying wrapped under the tree.... ha!
