Lake Anna

With summer officially started- we try to head down to Lake Anna every chance we get! Brandon loves boats and water so let's just say he has a great time down at the lake. However, the once relaxing trip down at the lake has turned into a constant chasing or holding onto his hand event. You can't relax for one second! Well I take that back- you can relax when we go on a boat ride- because that is the magic nap pill. But other than that- you don't really relax with the kiddos around. But we sure do have a great time down there- we are hoping that Grandma and Papa build a house down there soon so we can just stay the entire weekend. :)

This last time Brandon did really well swimming in the lake. He has this new flotation device that really helps him:) He was out there for about 30 min with Papa- with minimal help. We are going to start swim lessons again- but we are glad that he LOVES water.

Brandon loves to talk- not sure what all is he saying- but he sure was telling us a story this day!

Everytime I get the email updates from babycenter about "Our 20 Month Old"- I always say to myself "Brandon does that, that and that!" It's like they are at our house watching Brandons milestones. The email this week discussed how at this age they like to help out with simple tasks and want to be a contributor to the family. So I thought I would share about our little helper. Brandon sure does love helping mommy unload the dishwasher- especially pulling out the utensils (don't worry mommy gets all the knives first), he also loves throwing away trash, (sometimes he becomes confused with what is actually trash- we think we have lost some toys this way- ops!) getting us diapers, and his favorite is watering the flowers outside. This is the only task I decided to capture with pictures:) While you notice that these pictures are him watering the grass or himself- he does eventually water the flowers but it's for a very short time. (not enough time for me to get a pic without getting soaked) Enjoy!

20 months old already?!?

It is so hard to believe that brandon is already 20 months old! He is really starting to put sentences together and we have finally got the please and thank yous down! He is at the stage where he tells you what shoes he wants to wear which are usually his crocs so it is a bit interesting when we try and put sneakers on! Now that the communtiy pool is open we try and spend as much time there as possible! Brandon is a mad man in the pool- no fear at all which makes us scared at times- I'm sure he will be a great swimmer before we know it but for right now you can't take your eye off him. It's crazy to think that in just 4 months he will be two! Where did the time go? We make sure to enjoy every second:)
