A December to be thankful for

This year Christmas seems a little extra special (and extra busy- thats why I haven't posted in a while) We have had a lot to be thankful for and a lot to celebrate:) Let me try and give the cliff notes on this past month.

The same week that Tucker was due to arrive, my father in law (Scott) was also scheduled to have quadruple bypass surgery. We had learned a few weeks prior that Scott needed to have bypass surgery due to severe blockage in at least three of his arteries. Let's just say this past month has been filled with lots of emotions.... the nervousness of Scott's surgery and the excitement of our newest member of the family.

Dec. 4th- Scott had his quadruple bypass surgery and it went terrific.

Dec. 5th- Tucker was born at 1:21PM- a healthy, happy boy!

Let's just say the Walker family is very happy:) We are so lucky to have such a great family and friends for all their support during this past month! It was needed and we are sooo thankful that everything went smoothly and everyone is doing great.

Merry Christmas:)

I have a brother!!!

Even though Tucker was born a week ago today (today being my due date!) Brandon seemed to realize that Tucker was here to stay as of TODAY. I must say that I couldn't help but love that every time he came over to Tucker he said "hold" or "kiss" or "my baby" or "baby tuck". So I let him hold him today (with my assistance) and he gave him a pacifier and he also gave him tons of kisses. I think today he realized he has a brother (or at least someone that is in the house to stay for good- haha) I tried to capture all the great moments but only got to with my iphone camera. It was so precious.... and I must say it is great having both boys home with me. I say that now because Tucker is a Fantastic baby- he doesn't cry unless you change him. If he is hungry he wimpers which is like a faint whine- which I'll take anyday over crying. I just love our boys and I love that Brandon loves his brother:)
love this!

kiss

i want to hold him

here is the pacifier... up your nose! ops!

yep let me try clipping his finger nails....

i think he is pretty cool

So in love

I can't even explain to you how much we love our newest little man Tucker:) He is just so perfect and we love being a family of four. Even though Christmas is a couple weeks away- we got our Christmas gift a little early. He sure does put a smile on all of our faces.

Tucker James has arrived

Dec. 5th at 1:21PM we were blessed with our 2nd baby boy, Tucker James Walker. He was 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long and perfect:) We were in love instantly with this little gift from God. One of the first things that both Josh and I said was that he looked a lot like Brandon did when he was born!

Brandon was excited to meet his brother, whom he calls "Tuck" or "My baby". We are looking forward to being home with our newest little man and our little toddler:)

Watching Daddy Run the 37th Annual Marine Core Marathon

Oct. 28, 2012- marked Daddy's 2nd marathon and we all went down to DC to cheer him on! Hurricane Sandy held off, so the weather wasn't too bad (minus the wind). We had a great time walking around DC to catch Daddy at miles 10, 16, 20 and the finish line! The cheering section walked about 6-7 miles, which mommy (8.5 months pregnant) at the end of the day was very tired. We are very proud of Daddy:)

At mile 10 waiting for Daddy!
Looking good!

Here he comes!

Played with some leaves with Auntie!

Patiently waiting for Daddy at mile 16
So Fun!

Looking good!

Daddy finished and I loved wearing him medal!
Tolerated the Mascot.... marked improvement from prior experiences.
